Background:

Here's a coffee from Cuatro Vientos, a family-run company based in Colombia’s renowned Huila region. Founded in 2018, Cuatro Vientos is named after the Gonzalez family’s original farm—a place full of history and meaning for General Manager Yonatan Gonzalez, a third-generation coffee producer with a background in logistics.

Operating across both Northern and Southern Huila—specifically in Santa Maria, Algeciras, and Acevedo—Cuatro Vientos has access to a broad harvest window spanning June to December. While the largest volumes come from Santa Maria, our favourite lots often come from the highlands of Acevedo and Algeciras.

Cuatro Vientos is known for its clean and expressive washed coffees, though they also produce small quantities of honeys and anaerobic naturals. Cherries are handpicked, floated for quality, and then fermented in tanks or bags before being dried on patios, marquesinas, or mechanical dryers.

Huila is one of Colombia’s top regions for complex, distinctive coffees—and thanks to producers like Cuatro Vientos, we’re able to share beautiful, traceable lots that showcase the best of the area’s diversity and flavour
