The project was developed to celebrate the expertise of women in the region and their growing role in shaping the future of specialty coffee.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn the cup, La Condesa has a lively acidity and a distinctive yellow-fruit character that reminded our Peru buyer Rory of the structure often found in great Kenyan coffees. Alongside the bright acidity, you’ll find flavours of plum and dried berries, layered with herbal black tea, nougat and brown sugar. It’s a straightforward, tasty and comforting coffee, with a soft texture and gentle sweetness.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe coffee comes from small farms located between 1,600 and 2,000 metres above sea level. The producers grow a mix of Caturra, Catuaí, Bourbon, Pache and Marshell, with each farmer processing their own coffee using the washed method. Ripe cherries are handpicked between July and October, then pulped, fermented and thoroughly washed before being carefully dried on patios, tarps or raised beds. These methods help preserve the coffee’s clarity, sweetness and fruit-forward character.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eColibrí Andino provides producers with technical support in sustainable agriculture, quality control and traceability, helping connect their coffees with specialty markets and better prices.
